How the Park Grows

What is the Sedalia
Park Foundation?
We are a group of parents and guardians, school faculty, staff, and administrators, and local community volunteers and business leaders who work together to bring wonderful programs to the place we all fondly call "The Park."
Together, we are
"How The Park Grows."
Welcome Back, Panthers!
At the Sedalia Park Foundation, we are passionate about education and helping our community. We're pleased to manage this website to help inform, engage and inspire you to get involved and help make a difference in the lives of our students.
Get Involved. Give Back!
Being actively involved in the learning process contributes to your child's success as well as our school's! There are many great ways to volunteer with the Foundation. Check out our Sign Up to learn how you can participate!
The mission of Sedalia Park Foundation is to enrich the educational experience of our students, support our faculty and staff, and improve our community at Sedalia Park Elementary.
Highlights
In addition to leading our signature fundraising and community events, like Fall Festival, Bingo Night, and Taste of the Park, during the 2022-2023 school year the Sedalia Park Foundation will continue to provide much needed funds for the school, including capital projects and funding field trips and grants for teachers.
Some of our past accomplishments include:
New Learning Commons
In 2018, we helped transform our Media Center into a 21st Century Learning Commons! A Learning Commons is better known as a collaborative physical and virtual environment that invites and ignites participatory learning and active discovery.
Playground Improvement
From 2012-2016, we partnered with Resurgens Charitable Foundation and Publix Super Market Charities to bring in a new ADA Compliant playground for our students. Providing our students a safe place to play and exercise is crucial to their physical fitness and overall well-being!
New Gymnasium Flooring
From 2012-2014, the Sedalia Park Foundation replaced the outdated flooring in our school's gymnasium. We installed a new, safer, healthier floor during the 2013-2014 school year.
New Cafeteria Windows
During the 2013-2014 school year, the Sedalia Park Foundation partnered with The Home Depot to facilitate the purchase and installation of new blinds for the windows in our school's cafeteria.
