Sedalia Park Elementary was built in 1955. Our school has been recognized and rewarded at the local, state, and national level for excellence in curriculum, school climate, school governance, leadership and student achievement.

Sedalia Park Elementary is home to more than 100 staff, including 80+ certified teachers, and about 850 students (Kindergarten-5th grade).

Kindergarten Families

REGISTRATION

Drawing & Coloring

Early registration for rising kindergarten students is held in March/April each year. You will see some of the friendly staff and fill out paperwork for the school year. The earlier this is done, the better because the schools use this to figure out allotment of teachers. Visit the Sedalia Park School Website for additional information and alternative registration dates and times.

KINDERGARTEN SCREENING

Drawing Together

All Kindergarten students are screened to determine if they qualify for any additional support through the Early Intervention Program (EIP). Most students will be screened during the first two weeks of school, but we like to get as many done during registration.

KINDERGARTEN PLAYDATE

Kids in Slide

Rising kindergarten families meet at the Sedalia Park playground to meet new friends and teachers. Bring a snack and meet new friends!

STAY TUNED FOR 2022-2023 DATES

SCHOOL BUS RIDE ALONG

Children Arriving at School

The week prior to school starting, Cobb County has a bus ride-along for rising kindergarten and first grade students and their parent(s) or guardian(s). You wait at the bus stop at the normal morning pick up time and ride to school and back along the complete bus route.  This can help with any anxiety you or your child may feel about riding the bus. Meet the bus driver and feel comfortable with your child riding the bus. Plan to arrive at your child’s bus stop five minutes before the scheduled pickup time.

Sandwich

JOIN US FOR LUNCH

Come have lunch with your child! You will sit at a designated table with your child. The kids love this and it is a fun way to see their friends and hear all about their day.

The school discontinued this over the past two years due to the pandemic, but we're optimistic that Parents will be able to join their students for lunch this year. We'll let you know as soon as this opportunity is available!
